This just in news is confirmed! Lanterra Developments has purchased and finalized the purchase of the hotel!
It has been confirmed that Sutton Place was sold to Lanterra Developments. Lanterra plans to renovate the establishment, supplementing the building with condominiums, similar to the changes on the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences in Yorkville.
Located at 955 Bay Street on the north east corner of Bay Street and Wellesley Street West, the Sutton Place Hotel first opened its doors to the public in 1967. The landmark hotel is thirty three storeys high and has 294 guestrooms. It also features 77 furnished apartments with full kitchens made up of 22 studio apartments, 41 one bedroom units and 14 two bedroom suites.
The Sutton Place Hotel is known for its roof top ballrooms located on the 33rd floor, called Stop 33 and Queen’s Park. With their floor to ceiling windows, they offer incredible 360 degree views of the city. Lanterra has decided to make an additional 9 more floors, making it an incredible 42-storey condominium with evenmore spectacular views!
